Instanly a Classic
Barrington, RI
When this couple approached us in 2008, they had an architect, a builder, a nearly finalized plan and a breathtaking piece of waterfront property. They had 10,000 square feet of a gorgeous Greg Snider home and needed materials, lighting and furnishings. Naturally, we got right to work.
For over two years, we worked closely with the team on layout, cabinetry, hard surfaces and architectural details before turning to furnishings. The goal throughout the main living spaces was elegant and sophisticated, with blues and browns kept subtle enough to let the views command the room. With an open floor plan, spaces read as one while retaining individual identity — achieved through a shift in millwork from off-white to rich mahogany as you move through. Additions like drapery are careful to showcase the handcrafted woodwork; most fabrics are restaurant-grade to keep a luxurious interior fully functional for three small children.
The chocolate browns and creams the client loved found their fullest expression in the primary suite — dramatic, sophisticated, and carried seamlessly into the bathroom.
Ten thousand square feet. One cohesive vision.
