Rich in Personality
Providence, RI
When this recently divorced client came to us, he knew what he didn't want: neutral. Working alongside Scott Weymouth Architect, who had planned the gut renovation and designed the custom millwork, our charge was to layer in the personality. There was plenty to work with.
A palette of plums, grays, blues and gold kept the 1,250-square-foot condo rich and mellow. Custom pendants and sconce, designed with Tracy Glover, provided warmth without overwhelming the space.
But the details are where this project truly lives. An avid fly fisherman, our client had collected river rocks from around the world, which we scattered throughout with intention. A custom shower pull, designed with local machinist Don Nguyen, takes the form of a trout leaping from a branch — proposed as a flight of fancy, executed because he loved it too much to let go.
Small in square footage. Large in character.
