Refined Grandeur
Providence, RI
This grand Blackstone Boulevard home had everything — scale, history, gracious bones — and almost nothing had been touched in years. Over two phases and two years, we brought it back to the gold standard it deserved.
Phase one tackled the kitchen, first-floor common areas and the grand staircase. Bold blue-gray cabinetry, new countertops, backsplash and lighting transformed the kitchen. Opening it to the dining room sent light pouring straight through east to west. The coffered ceiling in the living room, painted to match the walls, made those gorgeous moldings sing. The grand stair arrived looking like a creamsicle and left with ebony-stained treads and a deep navy handrail. The labor was grueling. The result was spectacular.
Phase two carved a luxurious primary bath from the former laundry room, added a soaking tub set in the window, and delivered a walk-in closet and proper laundry room that would be the envy of the East Side.
The project earned the cover of Nest Magazine.
Restored to its bones. Transformed in every detail.
